Streaming vs Hotspot

So I bought the hotspot in the car thinking it would allow me to stream YouTube tv. But it doesn’t costs me $10 month.

Then we have streaming which is also $10 month that works with YouTube tv?

I thought I could just connect onto the hotspot the unit offers but it doesn’t show that network.

This made a lot of people not happy. It should do both, but it does not. You have to either pick hotspot, which makes your car give off WiFi for OTHER devices, not itself, or streaming, which just gives data ONLY to your car, not other devices.

Most cell phone plans nowadays have hotspots included. I have neither plan as I can just turn my phone into a hotspot and the kids can connect their iPad and I can also connect the car to it.

Right. With that update that gave us Youtube you can connect the car to your phone's hotspot and stream, which is new.
