The tradewinds aren't blowing out here, so there’s no way for the smoke signals to make it from Dearborn. :)

Android or iOS? I thought it already worked on Android. I wouldn’t be too surprised if other mapping apps on iOS don’t support it. But if turn by turn directions work on the binnacle (do they?) then it does who knows.

I was wondering earlier how you even test if this is working.
iOS.
Android Auto with Google Maps works fine, but as a iPhone user who prefers Google Maps, I'm making it hard for myself hehe!

Looks like it was nice and fast to get Carplay going though?

That's odd. It doesn't do that on my car.
Well then that makes my current count at 2 cars with the phone list on every boot and one without.
After further testing, I’ve discovered the difference. The phone connection screen only pops up at start if ACP is your default app. Which I suspect it is for many people. If, for example, Ford’s native nav app is your default, it starts with that instead of the phone connection screen.

You also don’t have to X out of the phone connection screen at startup - it’ll go away on its own once the connection to ACP is established.

So far, my impression is that ACP does appear to load a little bit faster with this new update, so that’s a plus even if I find it a little garish and annoying being greeted by a phone list every time I start my car.

Adding a phone selection icon to the top ribbon rather than a trunk button was a huge miss on @Ford Motor Company’s part. Very disappointed in the designers. Nobody was asking for this.

I have two phones listed in my list (my phone and my wife's) and it is nice to be able to switch it if she's driving my car and not hers so that she doesn't have to wait for my phone connection to fail. And, since it closes itself when the primary phone connects, I'm not sure I see the problem with it? I mean, other than it connecting faster and going away faster when the phone is there.

And, they got out items they were able to do in the time they had allotted for this update. It doesn't necessarily mean that the trunk button isn't on its way. I would imagine that is a bit more difficult to create than doing a smaller update like this. Working in IT as a programmer, I've seen both sides of this type of situation, and it's not as easy as wishing something into existence, and sometimes minor updates that aren't necessarily as important being published is better than nothing being published at all while they continue to work on more difficult items. Getting updates, even small ones that seem like things no one wants, is good as it lets you know they are actually still working on the system and trying to make it better. If they really didn't care about making the customer's user experience better, they wouldn't be doing anything at all.

How the the Apple Maps preconditioning work? Is this still true:
Apple Maps EV Routing does not support En-Route Preconditioning for chargers manually selected from search.

Glad they finally fixed the disappearing SiriusXM presents. Oh wait, that was my imagination reading the list of changes. Oh well, with the death of the MME announced this week given it won't migrate to the universal EV platform, we can expect less and less concern about existing issues.

I must take full responsibility for the death notice Ford just provided given I owned 5 Taurus's then they killed it, moved to Fusion hybrids and PHEV and then they killed it, got an Escape PHEV and they killed it, now the MME. I finally have got the message that Ford does not want me anymore.

I don't have the update yet, but I have the same two-phone scenario and I think this will probably (?) be an improvement. Some are confident enough to proclaim "Nobody was asking for this," but I mean... I was. Like, specifically, I've said to people it would be nice if there was a button to toggle phones quickly in the top of the screen.

It is too much hard to add Open Hatch and Frunk button on top menu bars?
@Ford Motor Company !
This will make life easy to open insted of 3 steps to open
*shrug* With the amount of stuff up there atm, the stuff the latest sync update apparently added, and this, you'd have a very cluttered top ribbon. Be prepared for those who hate screen clutter.

Besides, is it all that hard to tap the drive mode icon, then tsp the proper open button?

uConnect has the ability to drag and drop certain items to a quick bar, give us this in Sync4 so we don't have to fight over what should be up there
I don't want a lift gate button there, I want ActiveParkAssist there (working), and I want a hands free! liftgate... :ROFLMAO:
