Anyone receive this update recently? Software Update Sync-26.2.3.11.1. I have a 2025 and recently was accepted for into the Early Access program. It mentions the APIM was updated. "We've optimized system memory to ensure your vehicle is ready for future updates" I am crossing my fingers that this can lead to a faster SYNC system soon. I also received an email to fill out a survey about it. I mentioned they need better notes since no one knows what we should be looking out for on the update.

As to that update, no, it's not going to speed up Sync.

That seems to be new. What Sync version does your car say it is on now in the "about sync" page of your touchscreen?

As to that update, no, it's not going to speed up Sync.

What is this, Fight Club? Not seeing it in the disclosure. Maybe I am missing it.

I also wrote I hope it leads to it a faster Sync system SOON, meaning more updates in the future. Not that this one directly will change it.

I'm an ICT guy who has sat through his share of change control meetings. When Ford says "We've optimized system memory to ensure your vehicle is ready for future updates", I hear "We've freed up some disk space".

Here's some examples of what Ford might have done, note that this is not the truth based on evidence. They come purely out of my imagination:

• We stripped out a number of languages that were never used, to free up space
• We took out all the code debugging symbols that somebody left in there
• For some reason we included graphics from F-150 Lightning and our other vehicles in there, nobody knows why, but we leave them out now
• etc.

There have been other updates too that have basically been "we're preparing your car for future updates". Plausible reasons for those:

• We updated some software libraries to the latest version. Nothing changed, but our cyber security division says that we need to keep those ones patched
• Some of our certificates were due to expire in the next few months, so we're rotating them
• We were connecting to a single old creaky server, now we're connecting to the modern redundant replacement
• etc.

Again, these come from my fertile imagination but I'm guessing they aren't too far from the truth.

N.B. When you update the apps on your phone through the App Store or Google Play, the release notes are usually "We've made some fixes and improvements". What fixes and improvements? Something similar to the above, I'd bet...
