That's outrageous pricing. Some modules take forever to do. Some take a few minutes. You are money ahead so spend some cash to get a regulated power supply capable of sustaining 12V at 50A and a Mongoose Plus, then installing FDRS on a Windows laptop. ??

That said, I'm guessing it's a Service Advisor to whom you've been talking and not an actual tech. Most SAs do not have all of the FDRS and PTS information available to them They will look at your car's OTA dashboard and tell you you're up to date if there are no OTAs scheduled at the time for your car. Those people aren't exactly lying to you. They're using the information they have at hand and telling you information using the wrong words. ?‍?

I'm going to start researching the option to updates things on my own if the dealership I go to on Wednesday isn't able to help. Tech's definitely need to be paid for their time but it'll end up costing me close to what I paid for the car to maintain getting updates done over the lifetime of the car which feels unrealistic

Update after going to the dealership, they didn't do anything. She said they'd check but all the information would be listed in my ford pass app. They seemed like a nice dealership and I had no issues with getting my tire replaced (I ran over a staple in the shoulder of my tire ugh) but I do wish they could've provided more clarity to updates.

I feel like im going insane at this point so I am going to try to have my VIN looked up and start researching the option of doing updates by myself. I ran a reset on my car and changed the update schedule to see if that will help with anything over the next week.
