I think the sync 4 screen wastes a lot of usable space. I mean, do I really need that large of a screen to show my tire pressure? I wonder if Ford will ever allow us to run 2 or 3 apps at once on the screen. I would love to have navigation on the top half and split the bottom with radio and another app, similar to what CarPlay and Android Auto do.
Currently I use CarPlay almost exclusively due to this but would use the on board apps if I had some flexibility.

Anyone else feel this way?

We had something like this at vehicle introduction. There was an icon we could tap to make the main app shorter, causing the recent app list below it to expand in height and become interactive cards. Much like widgets on other operating systems. Tire pressure, for example, displayed the pressure at each wheel even when shown as a small card.

Sadly, Ford "refreshed" SYNC 4A and we lost the cards.

CarPlay provides the tiles… which adds even more wasted space. You can also keep several Ford apps minimized below CarPlay, although they don’t display any useful information. Yes, this has been hotly requested. @Ford Motor Company doesn’t appear interested in any more significant refresh of Sync 4A.
