I’ve only been forced to do it three times. It was always a paper cup full of water and every single one of them was embarrassed for not paying attention. If getting embarrassed for almost running something over makes you angry, I’m sorry for your small ego.
In a world where people get shot because they accidentally cut someone off, I wouldn't want to take my chances.

If you had time to throw a cup at them (and no one forced you throw that cup), then you had time to get out of the way and not tempt fate.

It’s just your attitude that seethes through on not wanting to stop
Right, because people walk around as pedestrians carrying a cup of water JUST in case they need to throw it at a car that tries to run them over. LOL.
They do when they just finished lunch and are walking back to work - when they worked in downtown Minneapolis. You clearly have never been a pedestrian in a busy city street. I always hung onto my cup of water from lunch. This happens too frequently and yes I’ll take my chances most people don’t have fragile egos that can’t handle the embarrassment of making a mistake. My objective was not to damage their car, just to get them to stop and pay attention. The three times I did it, it worked. I don’t live in fear of retribution, but I don’t act to escalate. If you think getting your car windshield hit by a paper cup of water to stop you from accidentally running someone over, you definitely have your priorities messed up and you need to get over yourself- you and your car are not that important to someone’s life.

Again, I never said to abolish DUI laws.
Your reply is so off the mark that it doesn't warrant a reply other than to say I wish you well in future debates. You totally missed the point and it is hard to carry this debate with someone that is acting obtuse.

Good Day Sir,

So it's good that more people will die now, but at least some people don't feel bad anymore about a historical wrong.

Is a law bad if it has beneficial desirable results despite its initial original intent? Hmmm...
If you really care about desired results, you would be an advocate of pedestrian right of way.

Your assumption of more people will die is well..........your assumption, and no more. ?

I've heard of a few incidents where a pedestrian is on railroad tracks and they were struck and killed by a train. I previously thought that these were cases of suicide. Now that I think about it, it's possible that the pedestrians thought they had the right of way. They won't make that mistake again.

I test drove a M3P again (3rd time) because I am still tempted by it as a track car.

It reminded me why I disliked the Y and loved my 3 RWD. The 3 handles better, it feels lighter, and mostly importantly doesn't have the horrible visibility issues of the Y.

I stepped back into my Mach-e after the M3P test drive and it felt like a RAV4 EV.

Faux News :p

I have 787.5 million reasons why I wouldn't trust them. Granted, it may be true but things in the Weekly World News may be true as well. ?

Do you think making jaywalking legal will lead to more or less jaywalking?

If you're being honest, the obvious answer is more.

If there are more pedestrian in the middle of the street, do you think there will be more or less collision?

Seems pretty reasonable to me that there will be more opportunity for collision hence more collisions.

I just don't know how you can come to any other conclusion.

I'm going to assume that the vast majority of driver do not want to hit a pedestrian even if they were crossing the street illegally. They would make every effort to stop. Making Jaywalking legal will not change their driving habits.

Well, if they made it legal to be on the tracks, then the train would of stopped for them. We need to change the law to protect pedestrian now!!!!

That track mode is great. So easy to push the rear out.

Please ask The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and get back to me but be aware, they only use Science and not Hannity to form conclusions. ?

You are assuming and I am using statistics from a study of research.

Because you quote a News Source that you are getting your basis of fact from (that has been proven to mislead people btw), I am going to go with statistics from a study that has proven it to be safer through said study.

That study has nothing to do with jaywalking which is by definition not at highly visible intersections. And by the way in that study they had highly visible cops ready to dish out tickets. Are we going to have cops on every intersections now to enforce pedestrian right of way?
