I went with the 60a version because that's what my wall connector is set for. We have a 6/3 line run on a 60a breaker to the connector then the 60a Tesla tap mini to connect it to my wife's MachE. It charges flawlessly.
To be clear, the max L2 charging current for the MME is 48 Amps. The 60 Amp adapter is the safest way to go, but the car will never draw more than 48 Amps. IMO the 50 Amp adapter is sufficient.

They're expensive. So won't pay for themselves quickly, maybe eventually? Not about the cost for me; it's about peace of mind and not being stranded. Having options is a welcome hedge of bets.
Exactly!! We're at 1500 miles on our MME. Today we were on the north end of KC and three DCFC stations were none functional. We live 140 miles away. We were down to about 10 miles of range left and finally ended up at a Harley Davidson dealer charging at 24Kw. Took us about 2.25 hours to get to 80% and enough juice to get to a DCFC about 2/3rds of the way home. At two of the stations, the ChadeMo(sp) plug was working but the CCS wasn't. Is there an adapter I can buy to bring that? Also, which tesla adapter do I need to take advantage of their fast chargers? If I'd gotten stuck, it would have meant a hotel and an unexpected overnight stay......or charging until about midnight then driving home in the middle of the night. I need some piece of mind. But man I learned some lessons today about checking to be sure the stations you are planning to charge at are working. 3 of the 4 DCFC station north of the river in KC were down. WTH!!!

Unfortunately at this point in time there are no Tesla fast charges adapters.

maybe in the future teslas fast chargers will have nozzles for all the other cars.

None. If you want to use a Tesla Faster Charger, you buy a Tesla. Tesla Adapters are only for Level 2 chargers.

How about adapters for the plugs Leafs use? Isn't that the ChadeMo or whatever? Two stations I visited had those plugs functioning, but not our combo plugs.
