Just received an email from Ford, "Your vehicle order has been updated..."
Oh. Good. After almost a full year since ordering the Premium AWD LR and a hefty price increase with the conversion from 2021 to 2022 model, I assumed a production date was finally established. I immediately checked my account, and nope. Still "Order accepted by dealer", no production date. So what changed? I suspected a nefarious development, and checked the price. Sure enough, they increased the MSRP $1,000 and options another $1,000.
Do I have the $2,000? Yup. Is Ford getting it? Oh, no, this is not what I signed up for and I will cancel the order, I refuse to be penalized for the 11 month wait not of my making. My first and last time dealing with this company.
Bye, folks.
