Based on the plant closure and poor comms, I went out and test drove a Tesla Model 3 last week. Zippier than a Mach-e Premium w/AWD, smaller battery (lower cost to charge) and longer range. Ground clearance is within a quarter inch between them. The only real differences spec-wise are the instrument panel, driver position, and cargo space.

So I placed an order...

...which Tesla promptly pushed out by a month. I figure I'll actually purchase whichever one comes in first.

Was debating btw the Y and Mach E for a while myself. Placed my mme order last week. instrument panel, tax rebate, z plan swayed me.

Tesla fan/shareholder, industry prob wouldn’t have shifted without them.

I tried to check out an Ionic 5, but their sales guy was such an ass I crossed them off my list. They were a long shot anyways, but still...
