I hate that this trip information disappears once you turn off the car. I always forget to check it before I turn off the car, so then it's gone. Better if they had like 3 this trip and they just rotate around. That way you could check last couple of trips. Or is there something I'm missing how to do this?

Use trip 1 & 2? They’re persistent unless you reset them.

On my UK version I can read trip 1 by switching the car on - don't press the brake peddle. Have you tried that?

That's not the issue.

This Trip resets if you turn off the vehicle. Many use This Trip for each drive/outing, Trip 1 for keeping track of a specific trip or for the interval between trips, and Trip 2 for "since purchase".

None of them are reliable though.
