Please allow me to ask a couple of stupid questions, and excuse my ignorance in advance, lol....

Have a '24 Preimum AWD, I noticed that both the service tab in FordPass, as well as the tire placard on the driver's door jamb say ideal cold pressure is 39psi.

Mine are all currently at 44psi, that's how it came when I picked it up from the dealership just over a month ago.

1) We all are familiar with the bouncy ride on the MME (a minor annoyance, in my case), do you think that 5psi would make any noticeable difference in the bouncy feel? Would letting out the 5psi to 39 make any appreciable difference?

2) I've seen several suggest that over-inflation could leave to early tire wear, again, would 5psi make any appreciable difference in that case?

#1. Absolutely.
#2. Yes, but it's not going to be a huge issue.

Tire PSI is very dependent on outside temperature. A month ago in Boston it was probably much colder. It's time to lower the pressure.

Should have also added the caveat that 44 is according to the TPMS, I'm curious how accurate that is....

In any case, my last pressure guage broken recently and I was in the market for a new one anyway, new one will be arriving tomorrow, as soon as it does I'll lower the pressure to 39psi....

I have 32 tires to check, so I have one of these. ?

Two of them have to be at 5psi and 110psi at the same time, for that one it’s this pump.

TPMS pressures are very accurate, according to my experience over the years.
No car I have ever had with TPMS coincided with my good tire pressure gauges. The TPMS is good for rough pressure reporting but I wouldn’t use it to set my pressures. My 2021 had one that read >2 psi off (the others were off as well but not by as much). ??

I'm a bit of a air pressure gauge geek, this one being my current favorite:
Liquid Filled 2½” GID Tire Gauge

I can tell you right now, it reads the exact same pressure as displayed on the dash of my 2024 Mustang Mach E. Take that for what it's worth.

Generic reminder, just in case, that tire pressures should be measured when "cold" or not driven on for at least a few hours. Not sure if that 44 was before or after driving. I like to do my measurements in the morning before I leave (or later at night after it has sat a few hours after getting home from work).

Yes, it's been showing 44 after sitting overnight or a few hours after done driving it, so I figured that was pretty accurate.... Time to let some air out, lol...

I'm going to be the guy that says it won't make any appreciable difference on the "bounciness", but report back!

You're lucky...most OEM TPMS readings are off, often by as much as 5psi. Our MME is off by 2 (reads high).

Dose anyone else's TPMS readings in FordPass do this little sway/inflate motion?
