I was looking in the settings of ABRP and I see there is an option to get real time streaming data from your car using an app called TronIty.
The app only works for Ford and Tesla at the time. It has a 14 day free trial and then the premium edition cost about $42 a year.

Anyone else have experience with this app combination

Haven't heard of it, looks kinda neat as long as it doesn't lock your Ford account like other apps have done in the past. I signed up, so we will see what happens.

Seems highly likely Tronicty would want your login to Ford Pass and quickly lead to the locking of your account as many have experienced in the past with 3rd party apps that bomb ford servers like DNS attack.

Yes. I have both a paid ABRP account and a Tronity subscription. I have used the "real time" data feed from Tronity into ABRP and it works pretty well. But it isn't real time. The data is about 10 minutes behind. Which isn't a huge issue, but using the Ford Nav is real time. I also connected ABRP to my OBD reader, which is real time, so the results are better.

One day I will make a thread on all the data I collected and provide a complete review. One day. But today is not that day.

I will say that Tronity is worth the subscription IMO because of all the data it tracks and logs in your account.

Thanks for all the advice folks. I’m on the 14 day trial. Right now, but I already have the paid version of ABRP (absolutely worth the money!)

Looks like I’ll be adding Trinity to my list of annual software subscriptions.?

No, you need to use a BLE OBDII device plugged in under the dash to get live streaming data in ABRP. Do not use Tronity.

thank you very much for the backstory! BTW, I could not get Tronout to work (when I try to link it to ABRP it tells me access not authorized.)

They fixed that by Ford doing what they should have always done and implementing OIDC for their APIs. Now you log into Ford account and authorize the access by TRONITY.

Still, their App sucks and some data was not syncing properly so I gave up.
I wish we had good APIs and software like TeslaFi…

It appears they have an approved API with Ford now. They discontinued Ford data for about a year while they worked through getting it set up with them. Now it's back on so I don't think there's any concern about accounts getting locked. At least with Tronity.
