Trouble shooting Dead Starter Battery

Drove home today and parked my car in the garage, as usual. When I pushed the button to shut it off all power was lost. i had a tow company come to toe it to get serviced. The mechanic hooked up a charge booster and found the battery at 4.5. He was able to get it charged to 14 so I could start the vehicle and we could drive it onto the tow truck flat bed. Has any one else had this kind of problem? My vehicle is a 2021.

Several; threads on the longevity of the LV battery. It seems to last 36-40 months. ??

First off, if you have a starter battery you’re in the wrong forum. Only ICE cars have starters.

Second, if you’re having trouble shooting your starter battery you need to steady your aim.

There are many threads about the 12V battery dying after about three years. Odds are that your 2021 is at that three year place where you need to replace the battery.

I'd argue that the AGM under the hood is in fact a starting battery. ?

Well sounds like the battery is dead and needs replaced. Which we will all have to do eventually.

Yep. My 2022 is still going but I'll replace it in the summer when it hits the 3 year mark regardless. This is a wear item on our MMEs due to the constant cycling.
