Trunk Automatically opened on approach

Odd thing happened today, first time, I was walking back to my car after visiting a farm for 6 hrs, my Pixel Phone was in my pocket, I didnt touch it, but the battery was at 4%, as I approached the car the approach lighting lit up, and the rear trunk opened. The weirdest thing was I had just thought "I need to open the back for these bags. Anyone have had the random open?

I used to have a RAM truck with aftermarket alarm system, one time I came home (in another vehicle) to find the truck sitting there running. It turned out that the battery in the remote was almost dead and was causing that to happen. Perhaps a 4% phone battery could cause your issue also?

This is strange, the exact same thing happened to me today as well. I’ve never had this happen before.
