I added a couple more photos to my post on the first page. I forgot about the second storage compartment behind the rear seat. Sorry.

MY dad used to cram me in the backseat of his MG-B.

MG-B does not have a back seat...

Man, i love that hidden space in the Y. One thing I wish the MachE had.

In all seriousness, having driven the Model Y, the cargo space is voluminous. It is very spacey.
I'm the fourth of 4 children; we used to travel as a family in a VW squareback, which was probably the size of an escort wagon from the 80's at best. My brother and sisters sat in the back seat, with the luggage and 5-6 year old me in the cargo area.

Yeah, you can't do that today.

This results in a bigger rear cargo area on Model Y, whereas the Mach-E is going to have a roomier second row.
Not at all. The Model Y's rear seats are insanely roomy. Almost 3 inches more rear legroom: 40.5 inches vs. 37.8 in the MME. I've loaded a child carseat in the back of both and the difference is quite substantial. The Y has a much bigger cargo capacity as well.
