I understand the concept. The switchgear looks cheap though. I don’t understand why they don’t just add a voice command to sync 4 - “Open hatch”. No expensive tooling, mold, or parts changes required. And that way we’d get the functionality too. And while they’re at it, they could add an “Open front trunk” voice command (or, for those of us who’ve done the koi pond conversion, “Open koi pond” ???)

And then while driving on highway, you hear your radio saying "don't ever open hatch or worse open front trunk while driving". Oops. ?

I’m sure Ford could figure out the code to ignore commands to open the hatch or open the front trunk if the car is moving. I’m pretty sure the hatch release is interlocked currently.

The open hatch from the screen is fine, except when I have passengers who 100% of the time will open a door before I can get to the open hatch icon, which turns off the screen.
