Turn by Turn on the Front Screen

Yesterday my Waze decided to take the day off (annoying!!) so I used Ford's native navigation for the 1st time. I was really impressed with the navigation as a whole; but, found myself really liking the "Turn by Turn" on the small front screen. I can't recall and I can't find, so forgive me if I'm beating a dead horse; however, if I ever get the 1.7 synch update will my waze or apple maps or google maps show up on the front screen with the "turn by turn" directions? (I-phone).

One more question: Can the voice on Ford's Nav be silenced? I dislike it talking over my music and just want the directions/map use.

ps. Really the only thing I missed from Waze was being able to check in on my Law Enforcement Buddies. But that's a big one!!!

The turn by turn on the instrument cluster has always been incorrect for me from day 1. It doesn't match the map instructions on the large screen.

No Google/Waze yet. OTA 1.7.1 enables Apple Maps on the front instrument panel. I had to try it out but that was my first, and likely last, time to try Apple Maps navigation. ? I like that Google Maps shows alternative route options as you travel and missed that immediately with the Apple product.

Android auto has had turn by turn on the driver screen since day 1, as long as you're using an Android phone

Android Auto with Google Maps has always shown thee turn by turn on the Instrument Panel.

I wonder if the car is confused because you're operating it from the opposite side of the vehicle than intended
