Hi, does anyone know if this function is available in the UK. I have 24 plate. I think it is BC 1.3 does this offer the assisted lane change in the UK?

Lane change assist isn’t available in the UK. It hands back manual control and then blue cruise takes over again once you’re in the new lane.

I’ve tried to find out previously why the UK doesn’t have this but there’s nothing saying why. Hopefully with the release of 1.5 in the UK, lane change assist may come to pre-25 MMEs

Just an update for an UK members interested in this.

Just purchased a Mach E GT brand new registered November 2025 (upgraded from 2024 Mach E Premium AWD which had Bluecruise 1.3)

The new GT has no 1.5 or lane change assist of any kind despite being told by dealership it has 1.5.

I don't think lane change assist, (not even the auto lane change which 1.5 should bring), is going to be available. I think if UK had lane assist yet my car would have it on as a GT and a 75 plate.

I'm going to dig a bit deeper with local dealer and will report back anything I find.

Have you had any news since posting at all? Do you have a 2025 Mach E?

I’ve not heard anything. Unfortunately, although mine was a 24 plate, it is a 23 MME so although it has 1.3 lane change assist has not been enabled. Disappointing to hear 1.5 doesn’t have it either as that would be a big selling point for me. It must be UK regulation holding it up as I can’t find out anything else to indicate why we don’t have the capability.

It is strange since many other newer cars do it in some fashion (many of the new Chinese and Korean brands I have seen it on) they arent automated necessarily, but at least driver initiated.

I asked Ford web chat before buying my model year 2024.00 GT (which was the newest model throughout 2025 until very recently and they announced 1.5 in the UK over a year ago).

They said it does have lane change assist, but they could not confirm automated lane change in the UK yet "due to the local regulatory environment".

Going to ring the Mach-E helpline at some point to find out if I do indeed have BC 1.5 and if so, what that has actually gained me in terms of functionality, because this newer GT has no additional features or settings over my last car which was a 2023.75 Premium AWD (Vapour Blue, best colour)

As you say above, it was one selling point for actually upgrading from my Premium AWD to a GT. I'm not too upset though as the performance upgrade is enough for me to not want to return it, the power increase is pretty nuts.
