Update 4.2.6

My car was stuck on a 4.2.6 that was not uploaded.

I brought the car in this morning and just received a call from the SA he said that they have successfully uploaded and fixed the issue.

Did they say how they fixed the issue or why it wasn't downloading the software update?

I'm having the same issue the last 5 days.

No, they said they updated some additional modules also.

mine was stuck for over a month if not more.

getting the paperwork in a little while and will check it out and report back

Here is what my invoice says

check OASIS and perform SSM 51783 and 51097, don’t know why these fixed the 4.2.6 issue

updated all modules per Model E Program , update GWM and APIM only as all other modules up to date- my dealership is part of a program where they update all modules for free when car is brought in for any type of service.

Tried the update again with the light switch off. Stood outside the car and watched. Could hear the car accepting part of the update and the clicks and light activations. then it stopped and i got another app error message.

Going to try the charging thing later this week.

You can, just make sure you use a body ground, not the negative battery terminal.

Why?

Because if you hook a charger to the negative battery terminal, the BMS current sensor will be bypassed, and hell will ensue because the BMS thinks the battery is going dead instead of charging. Using a body ground ensures the current will flow through the sensor in the correct direction. Very important for successful updates, many dealers get that wrong and updates fail as a result.
