I've had 4.2.6 fail to install 5 times total now (manual and automatic attempts). Anybody else experiencing this? Never had an issue up until today.

426 failed twice for me, first update to do so. The first 2 times I had it start in my driveway and I was in the yard, my phone woke the car a few times, not sure if that cancelled it. The 3rd time I triggered it then just walked inside and it installed fine.

Magically, it installed overnight on the 6th overall attempt...

I had the same problem and opened a ticket on it. When they finally got back to me they said drive it for a half hour and then charge to 100% and then retry the update. That worked.

They could use some work on their error messages.

Normally I have little problem with OTA's. However 4.2,6 has attempted to load at least 6 times this past week. I have watched the countdown and the "preparing update" message plus listening to the car sound like it is possibly updating. To date all have failed. I have changed the time of scheduled auto update so the car will be out side.
Any one else having issues of failed OTA for 4.2.6?
Any suggestions appreciated. Thanks

Tom

I just had the same problem for about 2 days. It wasn't happy with the LVB charge. Tried doing an hour long, 60 mile freeway look to charge the LVB. Didn't help. I pulled apart the frunk and put a charger on it for a while. Put it all back together and tried again. Finally got it.

Also learned about AGM batteries doing this. Read up on them before just putting any old charger on the battery.

I have been waiting for weeks and still not installed. How do you know if failed?

I had this problem with several failed attempts. I put my car scanner on it and noticed my 12v battery was at 40%. So I charged the vehicle battery (not the 12v battery) overnight to just 60% and the 12v battery was up to 88% after that. The update worked fine then. I understand 12v battery needs to be mostly charged (80% or more) for an OTA to work as it is one of the preconditions.

I was out of town and figured my 7 update failures was due to no WiFi or week phone signal strength. At home I updated but now my charge settings are disregarded and I’m unable to capture a previous charging location to reset it up.

Failing 5+ times here too. I’ve tried manually triggering while plugged into my l2 charger, then left it plugged in overnight to charge the HV. To 100% overnight where it would also try to automatically install during the nightly window but that didn’t work. The also had it try automatically and manually while it wasn’t plugged in to L2 and still haven’t had any luck. The app keeps giving a message that they need my help to install and that there would be a message on the screen of the car, but when I turn on the car, it just says that the update is scheduled. Nothing about a low 12v battery or anything. I will check car scanner tomorrow.
