So can I call the dealer and ‘demand’ the update free of charge? Coach me on what to say so they do it. And check my battery too.

Like @Mach-Lee said, this is the 25S65 recall by Ford. Here is a link describing it on the Canada.ca site. You should be able see on your phone's Ford app any recalls open on your vehicle. You just need to call your dealer and tell them you want to schedule this recall work.

And check your battery too.

Hi, called dealer (Yorkdale ford), they don’t have a fix for 25S65 recall for vehicles made in 2021-24. They only have it for vehicle manufactured in 2025.
Should I be calling the ford Bev team

Since you know the update is pending, I suggest initiating the update yourself once you park the car for the night (go into Settings, click on Software Updates, and tell it to start).

Yes, you can charge the battery yourself with a good charger, but I think it's easier to let the car charge from the HVB itself.

Depending on when you purchased your car, it might be time to replace the 12V battery anyway. Three years is about when people start seeing them die, and since you live up north that could make it even more likely.
We have a 23 Premium that won't update anymore. It doesn't even show 'check for updates'. The last update the dealer said it tired was in Sept. and it failed. Any ideas?

Have you tried the steps @Mach-Lee lists in his earlier post? It could also be your time window for retries passed, so you'd have to wait for it to come around again?

I called another dealer….east gate in Hamilton and they said it’s not available for 21-24 yet. I tried reaching out to Bev team…waste of time. They gave me a phone number as they don’t get involved in Canada.
I am not doubting you, I am just sharing what the dealers are saying.
I am gonna try the update next week when I go for a longer than usual drive on Saturday. Hopefully will get enough juice into lvb for the update to take.

Some great options to try but the problem I have is there is no "Update Now" option... so I can't do any of those steps. It's so weird, I used to get updates no problem. The dealer has no idea why.

Then the OTA has expired, there's nothing you can do but wait for the next update. See the note about "Not Completed" status.

Yeah, like @Mach-Lee said, nothing to do but wait.⏳
Thanks for the info! Hope the waiting is weeks instead of months. 1km/h issue when stopped is still there.

Can you force updates with Forscan?

I highly doubt it, but.... @rugedraw?
Short answer is yes, but you need to source the files. Either way, the screenshot he posted shows the update as completed, so it installed. A TCU update would take 1.5-2 hours to flash so a power supply would be needed.

IMO, this is not one to mess around with and side load it unless absolutely necessary. When it comes to the TCU and GWM, I would just let the ota process do its thing. The server won't know the TCU is updated anyway and will continue to send the same OTA until the data syncs up. It won't really speed anything up in terms of getting the next update in the sequence faster.
