Ford send updates based on a proprietary system to which we mortals (and canines) are not privy. Sometimes there is a spate of OTAs that come in weeks. Sometimes a drought when nothing is received for months. Often, you will see people post that they got OTA XYZ and you won’t get it for weeks. Just the luck of the draw in which VIN gets what update and when. ?‍?

If you are one of the people who absolutely must have every new piece of software as it’s released, you might want to invest in an FDRS rig. If you don’t want to buy a $530 cable and a nearly $600 power supply (plus a weekend license to the software when you want to perform updates), you will either need to wait or locate someone near you with an FDRS rig who will help you perform manual updates. ?‍?

23-pu1113-unx-dc was the last update for my May ‘23 built Premium as well… until this afternoon. Just got ECG-24.2.4.9 while driving home from work.

Ford is still trying to catch 2021s up to 2022s and 2022s to 2023s. I haven’t found the need to buy a license and fire up my FDRS rig for the updates that have been coming out in a long while so I am just waiting for the OTAs to arrive. When the powertrain update comes out to lift the 5 second limit I will be buying that license immediately. ?‍?

Well, after 15 days, I finally got my car back and pretty much they were able to put in the new RFA module. They got it programmed, but from our friend on the forum here Rugedraw, he was able to look at my car and tell me this: I can see the were able to successfully program the RFA. However, they did not update anything. You are still on Sync 23031 and all the other modules are exactly where they were before. ?

i’ll probably be talking to Ford tomorrow, as they had the car for two weeks so they gave me 10 days on the vehicle. They let me use then they got me for 300 and something dollars for the days outside the warranty rental policy they say. Now, according to Ford, who I talk to the other day, they don’t have a timeline. They said it should be covered the whole time but dealers being privately owned can set their own rules. Anyways, I resolved the issue of being over the 10 day limit next time I went out and bought me a clunker as a back up. I don’t need two cars, but I’m not gonna deal with that next time. It was only five grand. dealer said when I was leaving if it doesn’t update, just bring it in while it’s under warranty and we’ll give you another car and because I bought a beater I said I will and I’ll bring it back within the 10 days lol. My neighbor decided not to sell his Mustang.
