Hello,
I will be traveling on vacation for 4 weeks. Are there any precautions or settings to change to ensure my battery won’t die on me when I come back?

Any suggestions would be greatly helpful please.

Thank You!

My personal opinion - you don't need to do anything.

I left mine standing unused and unplugged while I went away on an extended vacation and both batteries were fine when I got back. I actually expected my HV battery to have dropped a tiny bit - but was exactly the same.

My car pretty much sat at a dealership for 5 weeks waiting on getting the HVBJB fix. It was driven twice that whole time but sometimes it sat for weeks and there were no issues.

Enjoy your trip, I would suggest 80 per cent max charge. We left ours for a month, upon return 78 percent and all just fine. No issues. 2021 extended range 4wd

4 weeks is not a big deal if you leave it plugged in or not. If for several months it is good to set the car to charge to 50%, and also good to have it start once a week to make sure the 12v stays charged (easy way is set a once a week departure time). That said, 4 weeks you should be fine just leaving it unplugged (although I am not sure I would trust the 12v in sub zero weather for 4 weeks without it starting once a week).

I deployed for five months this year. My wife would back it out of the garage and back in to rotate the tires a little bit every four weeks. I lost 7% total in the time I was gone. I think you'll be just fine as noted above.

I suggest you read your manual. It directly answers your question.

30 days or more, 50% charge, unplugged, and 12v disconnected.

Instructions unclear: 28 days is less than 30.

Also, the "preserving your high voltage battery>storage state of charge" section implies it's ok to keep it plugged in if you just set a 50% charge limit

As others have side, your HVB will be fine. I'd worry a bit about the LVB (due to the historical issues), but I left mine at 70% for three weeks in the cold (avg ~30F, but down to 3F). Came back to it at 68%. No issues. Didn't disconnect LVB.
