Hi, All and thanks for your insight. My apartment building has level 2 chargers at each parking spot. They are now in the process of resurfacing the parking lot and for some reason the charging speeds have slowed to almost a crawl. They had shut down the chargers for 2 days to facilitate the repaving project. Luckily, I only use my car on the weekends, but it took 2 1/2 days to charge from 22% to 90% last week and it's charging at the same crazy slow rate this week as well. I have a call in to the building management who are "looking into it". My question is, should this crazy slow rate affect my batteries health? As always, thanks in advance for any insights. Peace.

Slow charging should not have a detrimental effect. After all the L1 Ford Mobile Charger outputting 120V at 20A only provides @ 3 miles per charging hour. Reducing battery heat is key to avoiding battery damage.

Recommendation: Ask the apartment manager if the chargers were changed from 240V to 120V for some reason.

Agreed - it would hurt the car out the battery (and can actually be helpful to the 12V battery since it charges while the HVB is charging). You can check the charging speed in the FordPass app on the Energy screen.

Thanks1 I hadn't realized the app had that info. I checked and the charging speed is 1.2kW, crazy slow for a level 2.

It almost sounds like something happened to the power source that resulted in the EVSEs only being supplied with 120V.

Either power source or perhaps programming for EVSE’s needs to be re-set?
