I'm not sure when this started but neither walk away lock or mirror folding work. I can lock with the app and mirrors will fold then.

I have toggled the menu settings and that has not corrected the issue.

PAAK seems to be working fine.

Thoughts?

OK, here's the scoop. During this period I also had a pop up saying low key battery. I never carry the key so I had been ignoring it. Today I pulled the faraday pouch out and removed the key to see if the pouch was causing the issue. Put the key back in and closed it up. No more pop up message. I guess it saw that the battery was indeed good and as a bonus the walk away lock and mirror folding work as intended. Who knew.................. anyway, we are all good now

Just checking, is there a keyfob in the cabin? My Mach-E will not lock using walk away if I have the fob in the car.
I have one in a faraday pouch, I guess I should double check that.

Agree with @iNeedANameHere. Keys in the car are a thief's dream. At the very least, flip the battery backwards in the fob so it is not active. I put one like this in my travel bag when on a road trip just in case - both in a Faraday pouch and with the battery flipped. Battery flip is all that is needed and is way more effective than the pouch. Faraday pouches are not that reliable, especially at close range.

As kids, we loved borrowing our folk's cars without the need to get the keys from them...
My dad never could find a spot that I wouldn't find...😁

I would personally recommend not leaving a key hidden in the car and rely on the Backup Passcode in the event of a PaaK failure. Even in a pouch there’s a chance of someone finding it and stealing it.
I commented on this on a recent similar post.....

My Faraday pouch stopped working, wrapped in foil, put it back in the pouch, walkaway works plus now nobody can jump and drive a way.....speaking of which.....

Keep a key in the car. I've had the PAAK fail and the backup passcode not work. Stuck til my wife could come get me. Happened twice, the other I was in my driveway luckily. It's been about two year since it happened, hopefully an update fixed it....but not a good feeling. I won't ever fully trust PAAK and/or backup passcode every again....probably in any vehicle. Had a key in car ever since.

Smash a window, find the key, drive away.
Still works.

Do thieves in your area go around smashing windows in hopes of finding a key stashed in the car? They’d probably have to break into 50 cars before randomly finding one with a key. Seems unlikely.
