I'm pretty sure the $75 electrification fee is what funds ZEVIP from the EV Account created by the legislature back in 2019. This fee is paid regardless if you drive a MME or a ten year old regular hybrid Prius. The 2023-25 budget has $30 million in state charging infrastructure programs through the end of next year. The 2021-23 budget had $10 million and we're seeing those stations in the ground now, but they suck (EVCS is such garbage, I don't know why WSDOT keeps giving them money).Yes there is a surcharge for “Highway tax recover” plus an idiot fee for expanding level 2 charging stations along the highways. $75
