The car has a transaxle (or two in the case of an AWD), which is an integrated transmission and differential in one unit. Ford just calls it a “transmission.” The same fluid that lubricates and cools the transmission cools and lubricates the differential. ??
Gotcha. So at 150k they need to change it....not 90k.

Fricking service writer  I'm trying real hard to not get angry with this dealer/service department. It's under a new owner and I'm hoping things get better. I'm running out of EV dealers in my area for service.

All I see is the typical inspect this and inspect that and a tire rotation. Service writer is telling me brake fluid flush, front and rear Dif fluid replacement. $1100 service .

What say y'all?
Obviously brake wear depends on driving habits. My 2016 Fusion Hybrid with 130k miles is still on the factory brake pads. Regenerative braking can bring brake wear to near zero. So it makes sense this might be an inspect more than a change

They weren't talking about brake pads..........just the brake fluid. I agree that pad wear should be next to nothing.

I went with the basic service this time.....inspect and rotate tires. At 100k I'll have the brake fluid replaced and if I still have it at the 150k point I'll have the transaxle fluid replaced.

Somewhere between 100k and 150k I'll need another set of tires

Brake fluid will absorb water over time and every other late model car has recommended a 2 year interval for replacing the brake fluid.

Brake fluid absorbs water over time. Ford recommends 3yr interval. Had to dig into the owners manual to find it. No mention of the differential fluids tho
Out of curiosity where is it in the manual?

It's is in the maintenance section, I believe. I'd have to dig in again to find it
