It's a not entirely unreasonable question in modern cars. My F-150 has a bunch of speaker looking pieces on the ceiling and some are speakers, some are microphones, there's at least one camera up there that takes your picture if you have an accident. Also a covered piece for the auto climate control that looks like it could be a mini vent or something. Vehicles are full of sensors and even the ones that seem obvious may not be what you think.
