What is your definition of a "Road Trip?"

I had to do my first road trip to get home with my MME after I bought it.
I was heading down to Huntington Beach from the Bay Area to see family when my Escape gave up the ghost on me due to rodent damage and a nest in the front of my engine compartment.
After being towed to a Ford dealership and seeing the situation in my engine I saw the MME and all I could say was wow that's nice!!!
So I bought my MME Premium.
I had no choice but to jump right in and road trip it home. I didn't know what to expect but I strapped it on and headed out. I didn't know about any charging networks or apps. I logged my home in the Ford navigation and it did a great job guiding me to the chargers in network. No complaints.
I had 2 great charging stops and 1 nightmare stop in Paso Robles. 2 of the 4 chargers were down with 3 cars waiting. I didn't have any experience of just moving on to another town so I waited for my turn. 2 hours later I was on the road again. So I saw the good and the UGLY!
I'm glad I experienced the "Road Trip" as I now know much better what to expect.
Since I got home I just charge from my solar system whenever I want.

Whatever I consider a road trip is a road trip.

Add us to the list of folks who separate "road trip" and "day trip". But to be clear, a "day trip" is always a road trip, while a "road trip" is almost never a day trip.
For us...a "day trip" is any trip where we go out and back in a day (or could go out and back in a day). This may or may not (usually not) require a stop at a DC fast charging station.
A "road trip" is any trip where we go out, stay a night or more, then come back another day...and almost always requires at least one stop at a DC fast charging station.
Mileage is inconsequential...and I would agree with most who say "anything out of town". Although, we live on the west side of a major metropolitan city, so if we have to go to the east side for any reason, I might put that in the category of "day trip"...
Fun fact...we just crossed 10k miles on our Mach-e on our last road trip (1,500 miles round trip). We both work from home, but also love a good day trip (or road trip), which got us thinking...I need to put pen to paper to verify, but we think about 40% - 50% of the miles on our Mach-e is from day / road tripping!
