I posted a similar question on Reddit. I'm going to try to stay brief here-car went in for the led light "campaign" (25V885), which is just a software update. When it went in, there was another campaign on the vehicle (25C69-The parking brake campaign). The software update was available for this second recall was available. I knew about it, but forgot to tell my wife to tell the dealer that it needed the second software update. The dealer completed the one campaign (25V885), and the typical inspection. I feel like at some point, the dealer should have acknowledged the recall-asked if we wanted it done while we were there on the other recall, or noted it in the inspection or notify us at pickup. They did none of these things. Perhaps the biggest disappointment for me was that they sent the obligatory "tell us how we did, and please let us know if you are unhappy" text message, my wife explained that she thought they should have done something about the second campaign, and they didn't reply to her concern. Am I expecting too much out of a dealer at this point?

My expectations match yours, but my experience is too limited to know if we're right.

My dealer identifies the recall, calls me up to tell me, then either comes and does it in my driveway or sends someone to pick up my car to take it to the shop. Then returns it. All for free. Montrose Ford in Akron, OH, FTW!

I like that you ID a positive dealer interaction and wish more posters could/would do so. That way we can find good dealers. I'm finding that if you call (some) Ford dealers their service tech will talk a good game over the phone on how they totally are up to speed on EV's. But when you drive in....not so much. Maybe one EV tech who is either busy or off that day.

I've had three recalls, and the Mobile Service Rep called each time to schedule the Mobile Service Truck to come to my house, and the Tech did the work right in the driveway. He also did several updates each time he was here. On time, efficient, and friendly. So far, in the 8 months I have had my '25 MME Premium AWD Ext, I have had nothing but unquestionably good service from Fiesta Ford of Indio, CA.

It’s not because we don’t want to promote. It’s because there aren’t enough good dealers to promote.
