Miss Conduct

Hockey fan. Was at a game. One of the players recieved a misconduct penalty for bad behavior. One of my seat mates said good name for you and your car. Hence we both recieved a new names. ?

I chose “Bleu accrocheur” which is an awful literal French translation used at first by Ford Canada to translate Grabber Blue for French-speaking markets. I thought it was hilarious, so I named my Mach-E after it. Now the French translation of Grabber Blue is “Bleu éclatant métallisé”, which is much better. ? (And I'm a translator by trade).

I like your line of thinking, mine is also Dark Matter Gray. Ariā Pferd is her name.

Ariā has a versatile meaning along the lines of theory/notion/concept, Aria can also be a female name. Pferd simply means horse. So it works a few ways; with the dark matter theory, the female naming scheme, the 'notion of a horse' that is our mustang, and Ford/Pferd pronunciations can each be butchered enough to sound similar.

I've toyed with the name Rocinante as well. It works somewhat along the dark matter theme with it's pop culture reference in The Expanse and those scifi themes, but it was also the name of Don Quixote's horse, and who doesn't enjoy tilting at windmills from time to time.

Rocinante is what I went with. My love of Sci-Fi made it a no-brainer for me since this car is like a spaceship and The Expanse is a favorite show. Having a spaceship named after a horse when I use mine for work... it just felt right!
