Has anyone had their wheel bearing replaced?

Any idea of cost or time it’d take to replace? Local ford dealer wanted my car for two days (just to diagnose it) even scheduling weeks in advance.

I had a previous car with a wheel bearing issue and the behavior is identical. Did have another dealer (where I bought it from) drive it and they said it definitely seems like a bad wheel bearing, but they recommended I take it to Ford (they aren’t a Ford dealer, just happened to sell my vehicle lol).

I have a 2021 Job 1 with a little under 62k miles

I had mine replaced but it was under warranty. Just checked the invoice and they don't show any prices.

Bad wheel bearing on a 2021 car? Not likely. Is this just a noise or does the wheel seem loose on the hub? Look for a small pebble stuck between your brake caliper and the rotor. Hit it with some compressed air.

Bad wheel bearing on ‘21 model not unlikely.

Had both my rears replaced and heard of many with same symptoms which required it.

Not sure of cost, it’s not a day’s work to do both.

Humming when the wheel is turned slightly to the left or at high speeds.

I previously also had an issue with steering wheel shaking when braking, but I’ve since had the tires rotated, alignment and rotors resurfaced. The TSB for brake pads sticking was never done so thats probably why a resurface was needed.

Only thing left is that humming.

Yeah, mine is out of warranty so I doubt ford will courtesy it. Sucks it seemed to fail prematurely but I’m perfectly fine just paying for it.

Yeah, I’m okay with leaving it with them once I can get confirmation they’re actually going to be diagnosing it. This dealership is notorious for taking my car and not touching it for days just to diagnose the issue. I’ve even asked them to not have me come in until they can at least look at it. I probably should find a better dealer.
