When I push unlock button the lights stay blue

From what I've seen online, when you are done charging you push the unlock button and your four lights turn clear and you unplug your charger. When I push "stop" on the app or when I push the unlock button the lights stay blue. It still allows me to unplug. But won't unplugging when the lights are still blue harm my car if repeated ? Newbie here obviously. Thanks in advance

The unlock button is only for DC charging (DCFC- dc fast charging).

If L2 charging (like at home) just depress the cord handle latch and remove the plug from the car.

Think of your car as a toaster. When you pull out the toaster cord, the connection is lost. The same occurs on the car.
