As if everyone couldn’t have predicted this 15 years ago.

Amazes me the big automakers were dumb enough to copy it.

I’d be interested to see what the failure mode is.

Ford’s fix for the problem was to keep the HV battery connected longer instead of disconnecting it immediately after shut down.

But when I had my Tesla, the HV battery didn’t disconnect until a few minutes after all the doors were closed (I never timed it so I don’t know the exact length), so the door latches should still have power for a while after getting out even if the 12V is dead.
