I'm an unwitting cult member. ?

Although I think the specific model/designation is a Discount Tire exclusive of the similar DWS06+ (?)

Continental Control Contact Sport SRS+ (103Y in 245/45/20 size)

Amazingly quiet, sticky, and smooooooth. Range hit was of no consequence in my use case.

Interesting - if true re: efficiency then my assumptions may have been wrong.
It could be most assume low rolling resistance = less traction but like anything in tires, there are ways to compensate. One difference is modern LRR= is a flexible carcass that uses less energy to deform in and out of the contact patch. And yes the GOM is enthusiastic but I am seeing gains over the stock GTPE tires.

These are 19" and aero wheels

I've seen many of these threads, and I have yet to see any strong recommendations to maximize range. What am I looking for there? Right now with my OEM Continentals I can drive from Boston to DC and only charge once. When I buy my replacement I want to at least match that. I'm assuming that durability and range are vectors in the same direction and things like handling, grip, etc are orthogonal. Is that correct?
Depends on the technology put into the tire. There are many ways to achieve outcomes. Low rolling resistance does not necessarily = less grip but it can. So your asking ok why doesn't everyone do that well it's because the compromise is either more expensive state of the art materials or less longevity. If the range is important the easiest way to make sure it is solid is to get a tire made specifically for EVs. If you are happy with the OE tire get another set if not think about what you want to achieve or improve.

Technically, the Discount Tire version scores a little better in dry from some comparisons. A little less in wet.
And less in lasting, which is a good thing if you look at it the way I do. :)

Discount Tire sells both.

What wheel/rims are those?
Atomic Wheels AW11 in a custom 20x9.5” size and custom gloss black finish with Continental DWS06 Plus tires in 275/40R20. Everything just fits up front. In back, there is more room but I wanted a square setup. ??

True now.
The tires, not quite.
But close enough I bet in a blind test.

So did I get expelled from the cult? ?
I am not a Conti cult member so don't qualify as an authority.

I may have missed it, but if you aren't a cult member do you have a different tire? Which one? I'm on the hunt for a really good tire in the rain because I live in Seattle where it rains all year. I only want one set of tires. But I'd like to not lose efficiency.

I'm new to caring about my tires. What's a square setup?

lol, I work in the automotive space and am a tire geek.

Are you willing to give up a little range for the increase in traction?

A “square” setup is one in which the front and rear tires are the same size. Opposed to that, a “staggered” setup features one pair of tires larger than the other (usually, the rear tires are larger than the fronts). ??

A little, sure. But some of the best gripping tires appear to really have a massive drop in range.

Thank you for the helpful reply!
