Because it's a FordIs it the weight? I'm looking at pictures of the new genesis gv80 and was like damn. That almost makes me want to stay ice.

Why can't the Mach e take some Lincoln cues?
I think it's about the intended customer and what they want (or what the automaker assumes they want). EVs are still new and rare enough that buyers would be "early adopters" which would explain why it's meant to look futuristic and showcase the latest infotainment. I'll be REALLY interested to see what Ford does with the interior of the BEV F-150. Will they stick with a "work" and "tough" inspired interior like on existing trucks, or will it get a unique "techie" look and feel?because somewhere early on "they" decided that EV meant they had to look hi-tech and futuristic. And then there are Tesla's sales figures... so copy cat designs.
I know and a mustang too so they want some styling cues but it's also a more expensive ride that focuses on some practicality. It's just that it is aiming too much to be a tesla with ford fusion hardware when they could have done a few things to make it look brand new.Because it's a Ford
CR used the word "spartan" to describe the MME interior...All of that is nice to have and looks great, but weighs something. More weight = less efficiency.
“Stark” was the actual word.CR used the word "spartan" to describe the MME interior...
I think that "quilting" would get old after awhile on the seats of the GV 80
