I have never left one of my dogs in a car while I was off doing whatever. If you take your dogs with you then take them with you. Sheesh. The car does not need to cater to your animal-neglecting whims. Back in my day we got along without any of your new-fangled pet modes. Now get off my lawn.

OK, hit me with your best shot. :)

After reading this thread, I decided to do some testing. Left the phone behind and just used the key fob for this. Started the MME, closed the door, used the fob to lock, and I see the amber LED, but the mirrors don't fold.

Put my fob into the Faraday bag, and the doors are definitely locked. Hit the buttons on all the doors a number of times just to be sure and things are good.

Slowly and quietly backs away from the impending … explosion ? I’ll hide in the frunk ?

Yep, I did more or less the same thing but I took my phone with me into the house and locked it in the safe. Mirrors do not fold and doors were locked. Car was running and A/C was on. Kind of unsettling not seeing the mirrors fold since that’s how I ensure the car is locked. In bright sunlight the LEDs on the door panel aren’t very visible. ?‍♂?

Ha-ha! I chill in the frunk with a bowl of water and a bag of kibble. ??

Use the FordPass button to open it for the quickest escape! Oh … wait. ;)

Yeah the mirrors fold when you lock it with the car off. If it’s locked while on it’s expecting the cats that you foolishly left in the car alone to drive off. They need the mirrors to check on the coppers chasing them as they blow through every intersection during their HVBJB torture test drive. It’s just logic sir. ;)

I think Mr Farley likes pets more than Mr Musk. I would never put one of my pets in a locked car if their life depended on the cars air conditioning keeping them alive. And I think someone would eventually use it for thier kids and bring a law suit against the manufacturer if a tragedy happened.

Those drainage holes must come in handy.
Only when I drink like the other retrievers and slobber. I don’t generally do that. ??

I actually agree with your point. I will only do this in the summertime when literally I'm gonna be away from the car no more than five minutes. Consider me untrusting of the Ford software as well.
