Window recall in Washington

Mine is at Bellevue now. We will see how it turns out. No mention of being unable to obtain parts.

They will also be working on my axle clunk and doing a software update.

So the recall work was completed and looks good…except for the fact that SOMEONE ELSE’S windshield is now on my car.

I inspected the windshield when I picked up the car and noticed a rock chip that I remember getting from a few months ago and badly tried to repair was gone so I thought maybe they replaced it. Then I saw a much larger rock chip in the middle of the windshield that was definitely not there when I dropped the car off. I’m pretty beside myself that this has happened. The dealership is baffled but say they will “try to make it right” but with my track record with them I have my doubts.

So angry right now.

Update, mine was at ford Bellevue for 3 weeks before the replacement windshield arrived, it arrived with a crack... so i got the car back with the brake TSB and the software update done (or so i was told). Was out of town for 2 weeks, and back for a week, got a call yesterday to bring it in, as a new wind shield had arrived. So the MME is at the dealership now getting the wind shield replaced! Hope to get it back by EOW. In the meantime, they gave me a loaner (well enterprise did) and it's an EV, a Polestar 2 - nice sedan... not as spacious as the MME, but at least it is an EV!

BTW, the glass work seems to be done by Accurate Auto Body in Redmond, I can see that my car has moved there since i dropped it off at Bellevue this morning.
