Window tint questions

3M Nano Ceramic Film
25% Front Side Windows
And it looks like a perfect match to the backs

Exact same as what I did, cost $250 here in Delaware but I was warned I needed a waiver from the DMV to make it legal. Checked with the eye doc and ten minutes later had the waiver letter submitted to the dmv and my "record" now shows tinted side windows.

I did the 3M Ceramic Nano at 25% also, it matches the factory rear tint in color and opacity pretty well. I did myself with precut kit, easy install and cheap enough ($16 for front windows) that if I were to get pulled over and ticketed I wouldn’t feel bad about ripping them off and avoiding the fine.

God bless the Delaware tint waivers. Did you use the new online application process? They rolled that out after I did my paper application.

Where did you purchase from?

I got the $16 on Amazon first, that one was 20% not name brand but fits/looks really good but is lower quality film so creases easier during install if you aren’t careful. You’ll need a good quality squeegee/tint install kit which is around $10. Totally acceptable and good match to factory, cheap enough that if you mess up during first install it’s not too big of a deal.

3M and other higher quality versions can be selected on the web site below and are $30-80 for front windows depending on which product. You need to ask for a specific brand from them.

thanks. Finally researched 50% is legal here in MN.

I am getting the front windows tinted next week to battle the amount of light the side mirrors reflect when night driving. Couple of questions: Is the factory level of tint on the back windows legal on the driver and passenger side windows in PA? - looks like they are 20%? Also, should I go standard or ceramic tinting? Appreciate any input. Thanks!

No but may get a tint ticket in cities where crime is high like Philly and Pittsburgh, Erie.. I lived in small towns 50 yrs had several front windows tinted dark and never a ticket.
