Is there something about the aerodynamics of the MachE that makes road gravel hit the windshield more often? Today I called insurance concerning windshield chips. This is the 3 occurance in the last 6 months. I don't travel on loose aggregate roadways very often.

Not sure about this, but I can tell you, that I have two chips (one repaired, one not) and one quarter crack in my windshield currently. ? So yes, must be an issue with the vehicle. I will not be fixing mine until after winter. In Colorado, they dump gravel on the streets when it snows for traction. No way to avoid it.

I'm avoiding freeways as much as possible, especially for around town driving. The LHC class impactors seem to be from 70+ mph trucks on the interstate with their many tires and coarse treads.

EVs are more efficient at lower speeds. And they eat stoplights for lunch because of the regenerative braking efficiencies.
