Could paint chips be a warranty issue?

I've had my rapid red Mach E for 1200 miles now and I already have three paint chips on the hood. I do drive six miles on the I-5 back and forth to work, but our CR-V which does the same thing (which we have owned for over two years) has very little damage on the front. My build was in the middle of June and delivery was late October which means it sat in the sun in Mexico for the whole summer. Could that have decreased the integrity of the paint? Have I just had bad luck? I'm guessing talking a dealing into warranty repair of paint is going to be a tall order.
