I had my SoundScreen windshield replaced by Safelite a couple months ago. I have glass coverage, so it was $250 instead of nearly $1,000. The new windshield is fine. I don't notice any more noise coming from the front. One thing I can tell you is that the OEM camera was loose in the mount, and I think that's why it would sometimes give me a warning about no adaptive cruise control after going over a bump. The new windshield holds the camera tight. I don't think there's anything special about the OEM windshield.
