Possible.

The GOM (Guess-O-Meter) could read over 300 if they were getting like 4.5 miles per kWh. That's someone driving like a grandmother locally, going 25mph.

For normal drivers, getting more like 3.5 miles per kWh, then it might read 238.

I don't think we ever got over 278, but I didn't memorize it.
What mach e do you have? And another dumb question how do you know how much kilowatt per hour you get?

Premium, AWD, Extended battery. In my signature and little picture on the left...

I assume you're referring to charging. You take the amperage that your charger is set at, in this case 32, and multiply that by the volts that the charger is receiving from the house, which you can see via the home.juice.net/Portal website. I'm getting 247 - 249. Right now it's 249.

32 x 249 = 7,986 or 7.99kW
If you turned it up to 48 amps, that would be 11.95. They say that the Mach-E can only take 11.5 via level 2, I haven't done anything to see if it's getting 11.95 or 11.5.

Hey Rick a few more questions. Now I have Juicebox to set to 90%. Last night before bed I looked at the app and it said charging override...I had it set to smart charge and the car was at 53% when I plugged it in. The app says it started charging about 1245am and I unplugged it when I left for work at 630. Charging only made it to 80% (157 on GOM)

Do I need to start charging it earlier to get to 90%? I can still get to work and back no problem, just want to prepare for when I am going on longer trips.

Do you know what the charging override means?

I just want to do what is best for the car and of course myself.

Thanks

You're going about it wrong.

You should set the limit of 90% in the FordPass app, so it sends it to the car (or set it in the car).

If you have DTE's normal plan, it doesn't matter when you charge.
If you have DTE's Time of Day plan, like I do, you can charge from 7PM to 11AM Mon-Fri, and all day on weekends.
If you have DTE's EV plan and a separate EV meter, you can charge from 11PM to 9AM Mon-Fri, and all day on weekends.

The FordPass app allows you to tell it which DTE plan you have, and matches the hours.

I don't think that the JuiceBox app can properly determine the state of charge of the car. I haven't played around with it beyond setting it to the same hours as my rate plan.

If you charged from 12:45 - 6:30, that's 575 hours. If you were at 53%, and hoped to get to 90%, that's 37%. If you have the extended battery, that's about 33kWh. You're giving the car 7.7 per hour (at 32amps). 33/7.7 = 4.29 hours.

So, either you weren't at 53%, you didn't set it at 32amps, or it didn't charge for 5.75 hours.

Thanks. I am adding a screenshot from the JB app. I have everything set to 90%, I am also going to take a pic of the % tonight when I charge.

Setting everything to 90% isn't what I recommended, but suit yourself.

I don't think your graph looks right. Mine is solid, not a bunch of very skinny lines, indicating that the charger is going on/off, on/off.

Mine looks quite different:

I'd suggest logging in to the website, home.juice.net. You should see a box where it shows your charger plugged in, and the voltage it's getting, and that it's at zero amps and zero kW. Then click on Reports, then User Sessions, then set the date range to 1/14 - 1/15.

Mine report for the 1/9 session above shows that at 12:07 I started charging, and charged for 33 minutes and 28 seconds, getting 4.217kWh. It then charged from 1:36 to 1:37 and got 0.002kWh, then from 5:00 to 5:01 and got 0.001kWh, and then from 9:45AM on the 10th for 17 seconds and got 0.001kWh.

I suspect you're going to see tons of entries indicating that something's not working right.

I'd then reset my charger to go to 100%, and set the vehicle to 90% and the hours you want to charge.

yep shows 241 volts, and 0 for amps and Kw.

Then it shows it going on and off basically the whole night.

Also what do you recommend to set the % too?

I recommend you delete the charger in the app / desktop, then reconnect it, and put in the car's info, and set the amps. Nothing else.

Or, call JuiceBox. There is a problem somewhere.

Something I noticed in the app. I have a 2021 MME, when I scanned the qr code on the JB app for the car it came up as a 2022? Could this be an issue? I am leaving work early today and am going to try to charge for a bit.

I also reconnected the app this morning and it work fine then. After that I will call JB. Thanks again!!!

There is no difference between a 2021 and a 2022 except the official battery capacity has gone up slightly (and will on the 2021 with an update). So no, that's not the issue.

One more thing I just thought of. I had the JB installed in August (was suppose to get car in Sept) It was on the whole time and I just plugged it in the day I got the car.
