The ambiguity in that statement alone proves hard numbers are needed! ?
I didn't even realize the typo in that sentence until now. I will leave it as a reminder to double check myself and to amuse/confuse the masses?.

For some reason I was only getting 2.8 mi/kwh on the freeway yesterday even after shutting the heating and ventilation off... 55 degrees going 65mph

Heated garage gives same range on the GOM as a hot summer day around here.
Non-heated gives 40-50% reduced range on the GOM.
Looking at mileage the real change for me on road trip is 20% (short commutes is 40% loss, but that is due to preheat...)

AWD Extended Premium here - living here in Eugene OR which has a moderate climate. Temps in the winter range from low 30's to low 50's, with temps in the 30s not very frequent and no snow and ice or very little. I do not pre-condition but I will now for longer trips. I don't commute (retired) and most of my driving is under 15 miles/day so conditioning on a regular basis is not that important.

During warmer months (temps mid-60s to low 90's) I get 250-260 - somewhat less than advertised. Now during my first winter I'm getting 190 or so on a full charge and the GOM, after a reset and some initial adjustment period, is pretty accurate. So a 25% drop approximately in this moderate winter. I think that's in line with other reports here. I have to admit I am a bit surprised at the dramatic change, but as others have noted, it's in line with other EVs that have been on the market for some time and it won't have much impact except on longer trips.

We have decided to use our Subaru Outback AWD with snow tires for skiing and more lengthy winter travel. Winter safety is the primary motivation, but also charging more frequently on the road, and with charge waiting times in bad weather (i.e. getting out and walking around) it's not that desirable.
