I used the order lookup by VIN (from this site) since I was having the same issues such as the link never appearing (went to connected services). I called and they were little help, only saying it was automatically ordered and no email or tracking would be available (didn't sound right), but assured me I would get it. So I use the link from this site to look it up by VIN. Low and behold an order number appears! I call again to make sure they have my right address and email address attached ( I had moved and hadn't updated address til recently). They won't give out the address, instead ask me to confirm....tell them the only two addresses it could possibly be (old and new), neither one, they ask me the name on the order....give them my one and only name, doesn't match. Open up another case as someone has fraudulently ordered under my VIN.
Over a month goes by for my reply "within a few business days". Send another email with case number. The response was mind blowing...even though I provided documentation that I'm the owner of the vehicle they stated only ONE adapter per VIN, somebody else ordered one with your VIN, too bad so sad you get to buy one in a few months. I'm not sure if it is a random person or the previous owner who had not owned the vehicle for at least the previous two months (before the adapter order date), nonetheless Ford says you're out of luck.

Why in God's name would I ever buy any product from a company again that is knowingly letting someone steal their product from me? It is not like this guy already has the item, it doesn't ship til August per the order, yet they still won't cancel it and send it to me, the documented and rightful owner? In the short time I've owned this it's been in the shop twice (towed in once) and I could understand that stuff happens. I can't understand a company not only knowingly letting one of their customers get stolen from, but actively participated in said theft.

Bottom line is if you can't order your adapter, there may be a rather nefarious reason for it, don't expect any help from Ford.

So you bought a used Mach-E and never associated it with your FordPass account until trying to order the adapter?

I guess from their perspective, if nobody did a master reset, they would likely have no idea the vehicle had changed hands and would still be electronically associated with the previous owner.

If you want an adaptor, get it from A2Z as many of us have.

With the mess at Tesla, I'll be shocked if I get my already-delayed adapter in June. Ordering the A2Z was a no-brainer.

Thank the lord I decided to bite the bullet and ordered my A2Z adapter as a backup. It’s going to be serving primary duty for a while.

At this point, I’ll be happy if I get my free Tesla OEM adapter in time for Thanksgiving week road-trips.

Looks like discount code “FORD” is updated to take 10% off and still gives free shipping.

Some folks on Reddit have called in to pay $15 extra for expedited overnight shipping if they need it a little sooner.

I got the Typhoon DC adapter / Stellar AC adapter bundle (25% off Stellar adapter) and have it all in my Frunk beside my portable charger / RV park adapter.

Loving my A2Z adapter - game changer for road trips!

Also, I have switched over to Tesla exclusively - joined $12.99 membership.

So far, saving a lot of money over EA, EVgo, Shell, CP, etc....

6 weeks of flawless charging!

What date did you buy your used Mach-E? If it was after 2/29 (when Ford opened up ordering the adapter), it is likely the previous owner already ordered it - and it is only one adapter per VIN. If you bought it before 2/29, you would likely have needed to add your vehicle to your FordPass account to ensure the previous owner couldn't order the adapter in their name.

I agree with others - best bet is to order an A2Z adapter. Even if you could order the Ford adapter now, who knows when you would get it (September or later based on current estimates).

How long are A2Z adapters taking? I went on the web site but didn't see any shipping estimates.

3-4 weeks based on their estimate on the website.

Call them and ask them if they have an option to offer you expedited shipping.

Some folks on reddit/forums mentioned they were able to call and pay $15 for overnight / expedited shipping.

You still have to wait 3 weeks for the order to ship but once it ships, you should get it in couple days.

Bought the car mid-late Feb before the ordering opened up. Not sure of timing of opening Ford pass account as the car went into service for a bit right after I bought it. I had the VIN added to my already existing Ford account prior to FEB 29, though I believe a second step was needed in the immediate presence of the vehicle, and again can't remember when that was done because the car was in the shop right off the bat. Regardless of the Ford account opening date the bottom line is someone else who didn't own the car at the time of ordering placed an order that is now preventing me from ordering. I would somewhat understand if they had already sent the item to whoever this person is....they have not. I can and have proven to Ford I owned the vehicle on the day that the order took place. This is my third (other two were new)Ford vehicle (all with plug in capability), they will lose me as a future customer over a $230 situation that they have complete control of fixing for no additional money out of their pocket. Yes, I am that pissed off. At this point I find their response to actually be malicious.

To those who say I should just buy the off brand adapter. I very well may have to. If Ford doesn't rectify the situation, there is zero chance of me purchasing anything from them ever again. To put this in perspective, I've been a stockholder of Ford (one and only car company I've invested in other than Rivian somewhat recently) for over 10 years, that is how much I believed in this company up until now.

At this point, the Ford adapter is probably not going to make the revised delivery date pushed back once already. Probably going to be delayed again based on Tesla Supercharger team layoffs.

I have both the Lectron Vortex and A2Z Typhoon and they are very good adapters.
Been using A2Z Typhoon for 2 months and loving it. Exclusive Tesla Supercharger w/ membership rates makes for a lot less cost than home charging during the day.

And since Ford doesn't know which brand of adapter you are using, it's safe to use them regardless of what Tesla says.
