In addition to Whisper, Engage, and Unbridled we had a custom mode where we could set the individual parameters ourselves? I like the steering and suspension of Unbridled, but am less fond of the excessive regenerative braking when the accelerator is released.

You mean like my ICE Mustang? Yes, that would be very nice.

Currently, you can always turn off 1 pedal drive and eliminate that type of regenerative braking. It woukd be the same as a custom mode though.

My dad just picked up a 2025 Blazer EV RS. You can set the steering feel, regenerative braking, and the acceleration curve as part of a manual profile. It's nice.

To clarify, I like the regen in Engage mode, I don't want too much or to coast.

I agree, I hate the excessive regenerative breaking, like driving a manual transmission in too low a gear.

The regular mustang, probably even the base ecoboost, has so many features that Ford didn't bother to put in their $70k electric vehicle. Customizing drive modes and customizing the gauge cluster are the most obvious things, it's maddening I can't do this on my 'futuristic' EV.

My Hummer has this also, My Mode. GM has a lot of great features including a configurable driver display. And a manual battery preconditioning button.

When in engage or unbridled, 2 pedal drive still has regenerative braking when taking your foot off of the accelerator. I know because I can always feel the regen when my MachE randomly switches itself from whisper to engage mode.

Fortunately, I’ve never (yet) experienced that issue. You are correct though, 2pd still uses regenerative braking until you’re commanding a more “aggressive” slowing. if someone wanted to do no regen at all for some odd reason, they’re either SOL orchestra going to need to panic stop every time the drive. ;)

Mine randomly switches from unbridled to engage.
