Yet another Phaak issue

I think it’s been well over a year since I last had an issue with Phaak. Now all of the sudden, my phone won’t unlock the car based on proximity. I know all the supposed workarounds from last time I did this… most just don’t work until you disconnect the power entirely to the system.

but my reason for posting this time is to see if anyone knows why this randomly starts happening again? I got no ota Updates…. I’m still on 6.1.0. No new phone, no changes to Bluetooth or Wi-Fi or my iOS version. Just suddenly I have to hold down the u lock button in the app to ublock, mere proximity doesnt do anything anymore except light up the side mirror projections. So that’s the weird part, my phone and car are actually communicating based on proximity—the doors just refuse to unlock so I just look like an idiot trying to break into my own car as I stand there for five minutes continuously tapping the open door button before giving up and opening the app to unlock through the app or with the door code.

Quit all apps, reboot your phone, and make sure you have the latest version of FordPass (4.31.0).

Other Bluetooth apps or power saving measures can interfere with PAAK working.

You may have to delete the key, and reinstall PAAK on the phone. I had to do that after getting the car back from the dealer. Carplay and bluetooth worked fine, but PAAK wouldn't work until I reinstalled PAAK.

It gets more interesting. All doors open except the driver door. I can actually open the passenger doors then the driver door. This is also a problem with the key fob so it’s not really a paak issue anymore, it’s just an issue with the remote unlock feature.

Even when I walk up to the car with either fob or phone in my pocket the lights illuminate and the projection from the mirrors work, it’s just the driver door button that doesn’t respond. So frustrating.

Sounds like you need the door module software updated.
