Newbie 2024 MME Premium owner. I am mostly using Engaged. Tried Unbridled for a bit today. Real world what are most of you using? Does Propulsion Sound do much of anything? I am not sure I hear anything significant inside or outside.

Unbridle 1PD, 100% daily. I like the throttle mapping and quick response. I will use Whisper mode when using BC in heavy stop and go traffic (less aggressive braking and acceleration).

Propulsion sound does nothing but noise, and only inside the cabin. I turned it off almost 3 years ago and never looked back.

It’s really just personal preference IMO. I usually drive unbridle but if I have some passengers in the back I usually switch to whisper because I’m a bit lazy with the foot ?

The sound is just a gimmick

Which is best depends on you. Personally, I prefer Unbridled for daily driving. The steering is still over-assisted, but not as badly as in the other modes. ??

I’m an unbridle guy for a different reason. I can make the car go fast in any mode by simply pressing the pedal a little harder or softer. I like the more aggressive braking of unbridle. Apparently I’m a late braker. Anything other than unbridle and my car wants to roll right through stop signs. In unbridle, the OPD braking is just right without me having to consciously tell myself to lift my foot early.

Came from the innocuous current generation Leaf. It had a couple of different levels of regen/1 pedal, and after bonding with it, I found the more aggressive throttle tip-in preferable, as well as the lighter version of regen.
I gave the Leaf version of its more aggressive 1-pedal an opportunity to win me over, but it just didn't woo me enough.

So it's no surprise that with the GTPE, I gravitated to Unbridled, with its native regen, but not 1-pedal.

I don't claim it to be "the best" settings available because things like this are subjective. But for me it's like driving a high performance ICE with some really good brakes, as well as substantial engine braking.

Car is definitely a driver's car.

Unbridled steering is super twitchy, seems like it would get a person in to trouble if they were doing spirited driving on twisty mountain roads. Engaged steering seems about right for this car.

I use unbridled with 1-PD. I pay no attention to the propulsion sound.

I’ve been on unbridle since day one. I also use 1P since day 1. Best for me, but it’s a personal preference.

I also did some efficiency comparison between the modes and 1P on/off back when we had the trip reports in FordPass. The difference was marginal.

So you’re saying in unbridle when you’re like doing 65 and you let off the pedal it comes to a stop quicker? Cause I’ve noticed sometimes whenever I’m coming to the same intersection sometimes and I’m going maybe 66 instead of 65. It wants to roll more in the engaged mode!
