FordPass 5.10.1 (Android) Public Charging Fix

Hi Mach E Owners,

If you have an Android device with the FordPass app, the latest update, FordPass 5.10.1 is now available, including fixes for Public Charging that were identified by this community.

Now, Android users will again be able to:

Activate in-network BlueOval Charge Network chargers from the Public Charging screen.

View accurate Plug & Charge and Shared Charging Access status and toggle these settings. Please note, you can only adjust these settings if you are the BlueOval Charge Network subscriber for the vehicle. Additional details can be found below.

BlueOval Charge Network Charging Activation

The Activate button uses FordPass to activate and pay for public charging across all 12 in-network BlueOval Charge Network partners.

Plug & Charge and Shared Charging Access Toggles

The Access & Permissions screen reflects the status of Shared Charging Access and Plug & Charge. The toggles to adjust both Shared Charging Access and Plug & Charge display based on your BlueOval Charge Network subscription status.

Subscription Holder view – Toggles to adjust Shared Charging Access and Plug & Charge are displayed. This view is only shown for the FordPass account which enrolled the vehicle in BlueOval Charge Network and added payment method.

Subscription User view – Status of both features are displayed but toggles are not. Only the Subscription Holder can adjust these settings.

It's still buggy. Sometimes the toggle works, sometimes it doesn't. It often doesn't want to change at all. Other times it appears to not change, but then you get a notification saying it changed, and you have to close the app and relaunch it to refresh and get the current toggle status.

I'm on 5.10.1 Beta. I went the Beta path a long time ago. Is there a way to un-Beta?

Did anyone else have PaaK issues after this update? My car will not connect to my phone at all after this update. I have a Pixel 9 Pro Fold. I have tried all of the usual tricks but still won't connect.

I turned it off to test and now I can't turn it back on after numerous attempts. I don't use DCFC this time of year fortunately. I've cleared the cache from FP and restarted the app along with rebooted my phone. Blue Oval is active. I give up.

Yes!! I thought I was going crazy, I've never had any real Paak issues and today I cannot get it to work at all..(updated this morning). Also it didn't like my backup password.. maybe because I've never used it and forgot.. or it's part of the issue, idk

I can confirm that the Subscription Holder view and Subscription User view do display as shown. My phone (holder) and my wife's phone (user). When I toggle Plug & Charge off, I wasn't able to toggle it back on. I waited 2 minutes and then toggled it back on again. It stayed turned on and then got a FordPass notification that it was enabled.

It appears they finally rolled the beta 5.11.0 version back down to this fixed version 5.10.1 so it is back working for me now too

There is no known solution yet that I've heard of. Is there a way to go back to 5.10.0?
