I wanted to take the time to do a quick recap for the community here. First, I want to say thank you for your support through the last 3-4 years as our dealership has grown and more specifically our Extended Warranty sales. I wanted to take a moment to give a quick recap of where we've been.

The Beginning - In March of 2022 we launched our Extended Warranty sales through these online forums. We were able to gain a lot of traction and sell over 100 contracts/month without as much as a website but through an email inbox. We then got our website launched and through a lot of trial and error got transparent, aggressive pricing on extended warranty offerings up by the end of 2022. We continued to see growth through 2023 and launched the Mopar website (www.buymoparwarranty.com) for our CDJR customers by the end of 2023 with similar success. We also ended 2023 as the #1 Ford Protect dealer in the country because of you and your great referrals!

Our goal for 2024 was to add a payment plan option for our customers. Up until this point all of our customers had paid in full via credit card for the entire purchase price. We added an 18-month installment option and now approximately half of our customers take advantage of this. We ended 2024 as the #1 Ford Protect dealer again and #2 Mopar extended warranty provider in the country! We are also approaching $1,000,000 in covered claims for our customers which is pretty cool given how "new" of a book of business that we have currently (most of our customers aren't anywhere close to the expiration of their policies).

So I want to give everyone a big thank you that has purchased or referred a customer to us! We have had overwhelmingly positive response on our goals of having up-front costs and robust factory-backed coverage you can count on!

Now new for 2025 we are launching our website GrangerWarranty.com. This allows us to provide the same great coverage you've been used to on your Ford or CDJR, but for all high volume makes and models. We realize a lot of our customers have a Chevy, Toyota, Honda, etc. in the garage next to their Bronco, Wrangler or F-150.

This coverage is good at manufacturer's dealership (Toyota dealership for a Camry, Chevrolet dealership for an Equinox) and doesn't make any compromises like 3rd party warranties can at times. The highlights include:
  • Factory-trained technicians - Most highly trained technicians to work on your vehicle
  • Manufacturer engineered parts - Not "like parts" or potentially used parts for repairs.
  • Factory help-tech line for diagnosis - Direct line to the manufacturer for the most cutting-edge repair information.
  • Factory-backed coverage - This product is factory-backed with financial security that you can rely on. You have the peace-of-mind to know this company will be around in 7-8 years when a claim needs to get paid.

We are excited about this next evolution of our business and look forward to serving you, our customers, in a more comprehensive way in 2025! We wouldn't be able to do this without you!

After forty years in auto service industry, Mercedes, Toyota, Nissan. Volvo. I have never liked 3rd party warranty. Unless times have changed the have the option for like kind and quality. Which means 5 years old 50,000 miles, they can source used parts for replacement. Most if not all factory dealerships will not installl used parts without a lot of disclaimers if at all. The worst you get with Factory extended warranty is rebuilt parts. Some manufacturers offer 2 years labor and lifetime parts warranty, That was 10 years ago Not sure now. Do your homework!!

I'm not sure if you are talking about 3rd party extended warranties for manufacturers other than Ford but Granger Ford's warranty for Ford/Lincoln is a genuine factory Ford ESP extended warranty. I have purchased several from them and as soon as I do, the Ford ESP extended warranty shows up on my my Ford account. No matter what Ford dealer I go to, they can see I have a factory Ford extended warranty.

It's still not legal for you to sell a warrantee to a car at a registration address in America's most populous state, correct?

I completely agree with you. I don't like and would never have a 3rd party warranty. I was just stating that Granger Ford's warranty is NOT a 3rd party warranty. It's a genuine factory Ford warranty.

Where can this be found in the FordPass App or online? I've followed these instructions from Ford, but there is no warranty option in the Service tab for either of my vehicles.

FordPass has not been able to show ESPs since the update. You can either call Ford Customer Service and have them pull it by your VIN, use the paperwork you sign off on at purchase, or go to your local dealership.

As Zach said above it’s no longer shown in the Ford app since the update but if you go to your Ford dealer, you can ask them about your extended warranty and they can show you it’s in their system.
